Ajaz Patel gave a massive appeal & Virat Kohli was given out by the on-field umpire. However, Kohli went upstairs to review the decision. As per the visuals viewed by the TV umpire the ball was fitting between the bat & the pad as Virat Kohli was on his front foot to defend the delivery. It appeared that one half of the ball was near the inside edge & the other on the pad & thus it became a difficult call.

In the replays, though a spike was seen it was'nt clear if the ball had hit the bat or the pad first. As there was no conclusive evidence found & the ball hit the stumps in ball tracking the call of staying with the on-field umpire’s decision was taken.
